*The Charente Maritime has a mix of different types of beaches, including:

• Meschers sur Gironde - Half an hour from our domain, you will find beautiful bays with cozy beaches and amazing limestone cliffs near this village. Very suitable for families. Plage des Nonnes is our favorite. Also because of the nice beach bar Bikki Beach.
• Saint Palais sur Mer - This beach also stole our hearts; the atmosphere, the boulevard, the eateries, the fishermen's houses (carrelets) and the coziness. Also, very suitable for (small) children. Our restaurant tip here is Chez Bob, delicious food on the boulevard.
• Côte Sauvage (including Les Mathes) - For this part of the coast you have to drive a bit further, but it is worth it. Here you will find beautiful wide sandy beaches and pine forests. The sea is a bit more rough, so also suitable for surfing. A very nice place to spend a wonderful day at the beach.

In short, there is a lot to do in the area, too much to mention. So don't hesitate to ask for our personal favorites. We'd love to share them with you!
